Couple's Corner--Our Christmas Wish List

My husband granted my wish that I've been eyeing for for Christmas and bought it last week but not for me but for Clarence Claire ( he loves her like his own ) who will be celebrating her birthday this week. We don't give each other pressies ( except for birthdays and wedding anniversaries ) on Christmas coz it's a time of the year to play Santa to our kids and was surprised when he asked me what I wanted for Christmas and so went to the mall with the catalogue with me--me is of course excited. It was gift wrapped then he handled it to me and said " This is for our Clarence Claire's birthday/christmas present ", wag ko dawng papalitan lol! Christmas wish list granted, I'm happy with the gesture^_^ Well anyway, I guess we'll buy something na lang for each other like we did during ordinary days. I'm browsing online of what to give him on his birthday this December instead. I've been saving for it the past few months ( ssshh! it's a secret) . He told me he wants to change his wallet that he have been using for the past 3 years--still looking for a good wallet but not sure what kind of brand to give. Any suggestions?

Couple's Corner--When We Wish Upon The Star

It's a dream for us to build a new home to call our own, not anything fancy crazy big but just comfortable enough for us to live in. We have a tendency of moving from one place to another due to my husbands work and owning one is definitely a long term goal. In the meantime, we will continue to dream on travelling everywhere with our two-seater car enjoying the company only the two of us--the time when our daughters have a family of their own. I wish you can see our vision, we, growing old but enjoying slow life. It' ll be a long way but we'll get there, slowly but surely--- it's something wonderful to look forward to^_^

Couple's Corner--I Will Do It Tomorrow

Although I'm a less busy at home when my kids are at school and my husband at work, there are times when neverending tasks are to be done....but I will do it tomorrow! I dunno why but sometimes I don't like cleaning the bathroom everyday ( walls but cleans the bath tub everyday ) and my husband is annoyed about it. He would ask me first if it's cleaned and if my answer is 'no' he would ask why then my answer is " We won't die even if I don't clean the bathroom for a day--I' ll do it tomorrow". It's maybe because I knew that he would do the cleaning for me ( even if he complains but still do them lol ).
My husband however is a perfectionist and is always sticking to his plan and all. Yochan always asked me " Why put off till tomorrow what you can do for today?" Me: " tinamad ako eh" Him: "Palagi ka namang ganyan eh. Kaya ka nga tumataba! blah, blah, blah....( while brushing the bathroom's wall lol )

Couple's Corner--YES Wife

I' m a YES wife!! There was a time that we laughed together about me wanting a " YES-NO love pillow "--it's a kind-a-naughty idea of mine to be playful to let him know whether I' m in the mood in between sheets or not. But he says I don't need any of those pillows coz the answer is always yes lol! ( naging green pa ang intro ko ) Kidding aside, I guess some of you have learned about the culture here in Japan that the ( old fashioned like my FIL ) Japanese husbands are mostly dominative to their wives. Husband ( not all alright ) often says do this-do that thingy to their wives and yes, some are a yes wives. But I guess it's a modern era already, nagiging matapang na ang mga japanese wives sa kanilang japanese husband^_^
Me, however saying yes to him puts a balance to our household, he's not being dominative but I know that he knows what he's doing and we often communicate and re-evaluate ourselves. Our goals, marriage life and I know what and when to say yes or no and keep our priorities---our kids needs and each others needs( dapat di mabutas ang bulsa namin lol ) nevertheless, I like to discuss everything with my husband as much as possibe and so is he.

Couple's Corner--Who's The Boss?

I wanted to say a firm "I am!! I am!!" but am not....but I still have the last word if he requests some 'minor' changes in his CL7 where he put his heart and soul into it ( and our bank account as well lol! ). For some times, with a wink and ROYCE chocolates, I was obliged to say Yes but more often my favorite word is No.

He is the master and I am the queen of the house--neither of us could shoulder responsibilities without the other.

But most of the time...........

HE IS THE BOSS! LOL!

Couple's Corner--What We Want From Each Other

What do I want from my husband? ( and I told him so.. )

I'm here to listen--- I'm concerned about some things happening to him most especially on his work. He tend not to tell why he's upset for sometimes coz he don't want me to get worried and that hurts me coz I feel like that he's rejecting me. I wanted to let him know that I'm always here ready to listen when he's down.
Tickle me more---I haven't received fresh flowers from him for 8 years. I don't need pricey gifts, his cheeziness is all I need. Don't get me wrong but he's a showy kind-of-guy unlike some other Japanese men but my husband says giving flowers is the cheeziest thing he won't do. ( hmmpptt! )
Always ready---I want him to know that I'm always ready for him sexually ^_^

What my husband wants from me? ( and he told me so...)

Balance--- he wants me to understand that sometimes there's something he don't want to talk about most especially on his job. He don't want to bring problems from his work and talk about it at his home. Leave problems at work, play with kids and get relaxed at home.
Surprise--- instead of waiting for sweet smelling red roses to come my way, he wants me to be surprised on something. ( mystery )
Desire--- he wanted me to know that he still desires me and wanted me badly after all those bulging fats ( sabay hawak sa bilbil ) and for having a flat chest.

Couple's Corner--Trust, Faith and Loyalty

We respect each others privacy--he doesn't lock his cellphone and I don't have the guts of reading of what's inside his mail when he's not around even if I can understand a few nipponggo. But it doesn't mean that there's something fishy going on if he wouldn't let me read his mails or is locked, it's just a matter of one's ' privacy '. I dunno for some but privacy is a big deal here in Japan.

Being honest---going into night pubs is part of pakikisama here in Japan, most especially to salaryman. He rarely goes with his peers but if he did, he always let me know where they went, not that he don't want me to get jealoused if they went to clubs and the truth is I'm always pushing him to go ( so that I can have time online in the evening lol ) but he would just say ' sayang ang pera, iga-gastos ko na lang sa car ko ' lol!

Trust, faith and loyalty is really important for building a strong marriage. Without this 3 ingredients ( plus love, communication and compromise ) marriage will not work, will not be happy and lasting.

Couple's Corner--We Help and Support Each Other

---We couldn't have made it this far without the loving support of each other---

Doing the household chores is a shared responsibility between me and my husband and although he may not always take the tasks the way I do at home, I know he tries his best even without me demanding him to do this or do that. He can take over the duty whenever I'm not around just like when I needed to tend to my MIL for a week with the kids and I thought that the apartment would be a disaster when we came back but it wasn't-- the apartment was cleaned and all! However, I received a ' claim ' from him coz I left him with an empty dishwashing liquid lol! He doesn't like leaving the dirty dishes and even though he came home late that night from his job, he went to the nearest supermarket to buy one lol!

He maybe the most ' maarteng asawa' ( he's such a claimer lol! ) but I'm lucky to have him-- he prepares an occassional breakfast for me and the kids and although his french toast ( and or pancake ) ain't perfect, I can feel the love and his effort and thanked him for preparing our breakfast. And when he feels down spirited in some way, I'm always there to listen and to give a hug ( and vice versa ) and as with the kids, he finds time to teach them, read stories and play with them while I'm doing something at home. And as a support to my loving husband, no matter how early it maybe, I love preparing homemade bento for my husband to bring for his lunch at work.
It' s very important to let your partner in life know how much you appreciate their help, big or small. Maybe a kiss or a hug goes a long way to make them feel loved and appreciated. ^_^

Couple's Corner--When Simple Sorry Is Not Enough

I promised to quit smoking but for a heavy smoker like me, quitting the habit was hard. When he's at work, I puff once in a while but the urge is too strong that a single puff ain't enough and he kept on giving me a chance still. 'Just one last puff ' says me and made the biggest mistake of my life and left him with my belongings when he told me that he'll divorce me if I won't stop--I guess it's a big deal to him coz I promised to quit smoking when we're still both single and he is so much concern about my health and all. My PIL's doors is always open for me and my MIL picked me up at the apartment( gladly lol! ) after calling her and stayed at the bukid of tralala for awhile hoping that Yochan would follow and bring me back home to Fukushima but there's no Yochan, not even a single ring at the phone. I cried and realized my fault and called him days after. I wanted to be home and I missed him badly and swallowed my pride with a promise not to smoke anymore--and it's for real otherwise, I might lose him forever with full of regrets for the rest of my life. I went home at the apartment and cooked for him the time he arrived from work--I was about to tell him I was sorry but he just hugged me and told me okaerinasai ( welcome back ). Gosh, I'm so guilty--he's so good to me but what have I done? That was 8 years ago and from that day on until now, I haven't had a taste of my fave cigar and wouldn't even dare to smoke again that caused us much damage to our relationship.

Couple's Corner--Our Different Talents

I don't know if I have talent--I used to dance at the centerstage and be on the spotlight but now I am dancing while vacuuming some house dust at every corner of the house lol! What else? I'm not a good writer kaya dinadaan ko na lang sa mga pics, not a good cook but I'm learning. I can't think of anything for myself but I guess I'm loving photography more. I'm a newbie in photography and I wanted to improve little by little so what I'm doing now is practice and take a shot of my kids as a subject.

My husband is the opposite of me--he's very good on numbers ( Wakaba is good on numbers, too. I bet she got it from her Dad ), an artist ( he's good on sketching or anything about crafts), a computer techie, a hands-on mechanic and knows about tools or anything on cars. He has a passion on cars and he's enhancing his driving skills on car race practices at the circuit. He also had a good sense of humor and I am his number one fan lol!

Couple's Corner--Our Inexpensive Hobbies

Me and my husband both have a yearly passport at Aquamarine Fukushima and whenever he had his day-off on a weekday and the kids are at school, we love to go out for a date and have a precious time together-- only me and my husband ^_^ I believe that it is also important for a couple to go out even for once in a while. And when time permits us, Aquamarine Fukushima is our dating place and oh! Please don't tell Wakaba and Haruka 'bout this coz they would feel jealoused and they haven't seen this recent photos as well! But their Daddy is kind, he would treat the kids out ( without me and that's for sure lol! ) Anyway, these aquarium has lots of features and is unique that's why we kept on coming back at the same 'ol place for photography. After our date at the aquarium, we would treat ourselves for a lunch course and even though it's ONLY once in awhile, it musn't be an expensive lunch at a fancy restaurant--we're still guilty of going out minus the kids lol!
Wherever we are, whatever we do, as long as we're together, we're both happy in our simple lifestyle ^_^

Couple's Corner---I Was Out, He's In Charge

I guess my husband is a ' hands-on Dad '--- he can be at home with an infant while I'm out, he knows how to change diapers, feed the baby, etc without me getting worried. I was breastfeeding way back but I cannot go out for a long time and I can't bear the pain if I cannot feed our baby with my milk. My husband says ' if only I could have your breast full with milk, I would personally breastfeed our baby.' LOL!

I am very much thankful that my husband is a kind of guy that would help out most especially when I'm out together with my girlfriends or do grocery shopping and leave the kids with him at home. And although he may not always take the tasks the way I do at home, I know he tries his best and tend to my kids needs. Now that the kids are growing older and whenever I need my ME time, he was happy to oblige and he's in charge at home. I took the liberty of clicking the camera seeing them sleeping all together after I came home from grocery shopping one afternoon. ^_^

Couple's Corner

---Our Wedding Reception in Japan---

My Father-In-Law don't like me as a wife of his son coz I'm a Filipina and he has no choice but to accept me lol! We live in one roof with them ( after a year of getting married ) and just like marriage, it requires a lot of work and patience. I had a good relationship with my Father-In-Law ( even though he was against me at first ) and although he has some quirks that I don't like, he treats me well and I know how to handle him as days went on. Well I guess, communication is the key. OK, I won't lie... communication didn't work at first coz he speaks very native Japanese language lol! As in wala sa bukid! Nasa bukid na nga kami di ko pa cya maintindihan lol! My Mother-In-Law and I have a wonderful relationship-- she's my beer-friend!^_^I can tell her and be frank with her about everything most especially whenever my husband and I had some arguements and differences while holding some beer together with my two sisters-in-law lol! And I guess that's the reason why my BIL is still single coz he's hearing a lot of stories from us 'bout our husbands--he says 女ってくわいい!!( I'm afraid of you women! )LOL! ---Me and my MIL and Sisters-In-Law---

Living with them all in one roof means a lot of adjustments and differencies and there are times that all we had a very difficult moment and have stepped into each others toes, had a very tearful, a heart-to-heart conversation and accepted each others fault and be sorry. And all we came to understand each other better.

I love them and they love me. It's the Kizuna ( ties and bonds of love ) that strengthens our family ^_^
