Nezumi No Yomeiri

Father Mouse sets off to find the mightiest creature in the world for his daughter to marry. He approaches the Sun, the Cloud, the Wind and the Wall and in the end believes that he has learned who is the mightiest of all. Wakaba played her part of Japanese folktales called the Nezumi No Yomeiri ( The Mouse's Marriage ) and went on stage at her school's stage play/musical last week. It was a first to experience to watch a stage play of the elementary students in Japan school. They played their roles, delivered their lines so well and I'm so proud of my Wakaba performing dances without any shyness and full of confidence. I'm glad that Wakaba loves to be on stage! It was a day to remember, we really had a WONDERFUL time most especially Haruka--she was shouting when she saw her big sissy dancing lol! We thought of leaving school after the performance of Wakaba and the 1st graders because Haruka might get bored--but was wrong, she enjoyed watching the play. It was pretty neat performance of them and Wakaba really had fun and it does makes me proud when my Wakaba were up there performing^_^

I'm so Proud of my girl!
The kids were all adorable
She did a great job on dancing and singing with her classmates
Wakaba made my heart melt for the nth time!

Mommy Moments--School Day

---Ichinen Ichi Kumi (Grade 1 section 1)---

I went to Wakaba's Class Observation Day ( jugyosankan ) at primary school ---it is where parents was set a day for observation and visit, take a tour and meet other parents at school. The teacher at the class watch each child and always making sure that every student understands the class discussion and lectures. They're doing their Math class the time I was there-- proud to see Wakaba raising her hands and had a quick answer to the question of her teacher. The kids wore a reversable hat ( color white and red ) and if their answer is right, they will be using the red color of the hat and if there are still kids wearing white hat( meaning not giving the correct answer) they will wait for them until they're all wearing the same one color ( meaning they all got the correct answers ) before proceeding to another topic or question.. After the class observation, parents ( mostly Moms ) have meetings and we talk about our kids life at school.
I don't have the guts to take photos while the kids having class because they might get distracted ( while some parents doesn't mind the click of their camera ), here's some of Wakaba's work of art displayed at their classroom posted instead ^_^
---A project that she did at school, a decorated shoebox for keeping her other school items---
--- Wakaba draws the growth of her plant at school---
---Her version of Undokai ( Sports Day ) drawing---
---Wakaba's drawing during her previous Class Observation Day ---
---My girls, Wakaba and Haruka---

PBW-- Sports Day at Primary School

---White vs Red---

Last weekend was Wakaba's Sports Day at primary school and 'twas my first time to participate undokai ( undo means exercise and kai means gathering--Japan school promotes teamwork, friendship and unity thru undokai ) at a big school and it's far different to Wakaba's Sports Day at Kindergarten It's hard to take photos lol! My husband went early to save our place to sit down but some of the watchers had tables of their own and they're sitting in front and so all that we have seen was the back of their head lol! Well anyway, I made a plentiful obentou ( homemade lunch boxes ) again for us to eat during lunch coz my MIL went with us together with my BIL and Yuina( my SIL's daughter). They came late but I have to wait for them at the apartment coz it'll be their first time too to come over at Wakaba's school and of course to give her support.

Elementary students were divided into two team colors-- white team vs red team and Wakaba belongs to the white team and everytime her team earned points she would shout for hurray but sad to say the over-all winner goesto the red team. However, it was a great fun for Wakaba to compete with other kids on games like tama ire ( wherein they will put all the bean bags into a basket on a high bamboo pole ) then she won first at 'Yochi-yochi Penguin'( wherein they will have to pick up numbers and if you're lucky like Wakaba that picked number two so all she have to do is pick up two bean balls on her hands then run off to the goal but if your unlucky and picked up number three means you have to put one bean ball to your head and the other two bean balls on your hands ). She was given a certificate afterwards. It was a lot of fun and very impressive to see these kids doing some sports acts!!
---I was looking for Wakaba but she saw me first!---
---Tama ire ball game-----Look at those hats!---
---Big ball race game---
---Picture taking while waiting for Wakaba---
---Obentou of the day will be served at Food Trip Friday---
---Haruka---
---A price hug from her Daddy for giving her best! Tanoshii katta neh!!---

They all had a lot of fun and so did I!! \(^0^)/
